Great for beginners!
This is fantastic book to get started with meditation. If you’re a beginner like me, this is the place to start. The advice is very clear and practical. This book is a great introduction not only to the practice of meditation, but its history and methods. It even provides some scientific support for the health benefits of meditation. But what I found most helpful was the step by step process of starting meditation. I had no idea how to begin, and this book showed me how. Plus, it gives some helpful advice about overcoming the inevitable distractions that prevent positive meditation session. Strongly recommended.
A great find
What a great find! My New Years resolution for 2017 was to start meditating. This was a great comprehensive overview of meditation. It touchs the need, the history and the science behind how meditation can help you mentally, emotionally and physically. I cant wait to try out the tips to relieve stress, slow down my brain and start living an open minded life. Totally worth the read for novices and experts alike!
A small book that speaks volumes!
Meditation for Beginners: Learning to Find Your Inner Self has come through on so much more than the “beginner” title itself would suggest. In addition to guiding the novice into the actual practice of meditation he also adds a lot of substance in the areas of the history of meditation and the scientific research backing up claims of its value. This one single volume could keep a practitioner feasting for years!
A great place to start
This book is a great place to start if you have been thinking about trying meditation or yoga. I’ve been meditating for a while, but still found information I didn’t know: tips to help my practice, such as setting my intention for the day’s session, as well as information about many different sub-disciplines I was unaware of. I hope to find more books in this series.

The book gives you detailed information on the history and background, before going into details about what to do. Highly recommend for anyone looking to get into meditation, and even for anyone who would like to understand the background.
